Some people like to listen to a jazz band

Some people like to jive to the music of rock and roll

Some people spend their money at the opera

But the opera leaves me cold

Some people like to go to places

To hear groups like Westlife and Oasis

But if I had my way

I would listen every day

To a Philharmonic band

Listen to the music of the orchestra

Xylophone, big trombones, clarinets and fiddles

And a great big tuba

If I could have my way

I would sit and listen to it every day

A super sonic tonic

Is a Philharmonic orchestra

Just take a simple pizzicato bass line

Add to the sound some chords on violas and violins

Let clarinets and oboes add some colour

Now the harpist plucks her strings

Trumpets will make it bright and brassy

Some flutes and bassoons will make it classy

Add horns and three trombones

And the tuba's fruity tones

And the music is complete
